Susquehanna Community Parents/Guardians,
There has been a tremendous amount of information in the news media and on social media related to the Coronavirus (Covid 19). The Susquehanna Community School District is monitoring the spread of the virus in the United States. It will follow any guidance it receives from the Pennsylvania Department of Education and local, state, and federal health agencies. To date, there have not been any specific recommendations for schools in Pennsylvania other than awareness, increased hygiene protocols, including handwashing and covering coughs and sneezes, routine sanitizing of shared surfaces, and staying home when you are sick. As a reminder, students need to be fever-free for 24 hours before returning to school from an illness.
The district is currently reviewing our All Hazards Plan and current practices and procedures to make sure the district is prepared in the event conditions change. The resources below have been made available to the school district and provide updated information on the virus:
